Homemade Fruit Roll-Ups

If this pandemic has taught us anything, it’s how to use our kitchen to it’s fullest! Starting with the banana bread craze and the shortage of baking needs to desperately searching for activities to keep our kids busy and engaged. My husband is usually the one to break out the baking supplies because honestly, my anxiety from the mess that’s created keeps me from even attempting it.

THIS is one quick kids activity and snack that I can get behind, though. Homemade fruit roll-ups are a MUST in our house!

Here’s the scoop:

Preheat oven to 175 degrees.

  1. Start with your favorite fruit! (We’ve used mango, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries) Cut it into small pieces to be thrown into the food processor.

2. Pulse puree for about a minute or two. You want it to be nice and smooth.

3. Line a baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper and begin pouring the fruit puree onto the sheet.

4. Spread the fruit puree out evenly on the sheet. It’s ok if you don’t fill the entire cookie sheet. Try to make it as square as possible, it will help later when cutting them.

5. Place the cookie sheet in the oven for about 6 hours or until it’s dry.

6. Remove from oven and let cool.

7. Trim the edges of the parchment paper. Roll up the entire sheet and cut into 1 inch wide rolls.

8. Enjoy!
